MEANT TO shove this up yesterday. A new game in the Ace Combat series for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 has been announced and it is moving in an arcadey, action-movie-explosion-sequences direction by the looks of things. Sorta like Burnout but with planes.

“For us, this is a rebirth of the Ace Combat series, and a chance for us to take the series in a completely new direction,” said Kazutoki Kono, Producer at developers Project Aces. “We’re confident that we’re going to create a new kind of action shooting (high-speed and destruction) experience with Ace Combat: Assault Horizon.”

There’s a lot of ’shattered gravity’, ‘blistering steel’, ‘impossible war-blood’ rhetoric in this here press release so maybe it’s just better to throw the trailer at you.
