Beatles, Metallica and Van Halen face off in Golden Joysticks

THE GOLDEN Joystick Awards 2010 shortlist is all figured out and ready to see votes, but it won’t be a simple battle amongst gaming fanboys/fangirls – music lovers will also have to decide their allegiance in the Music Game of the Year category.

Guitar Hero: Metallica, Guitar Hero: Van Halen and The Beatles: Rock Band are all part of the musical Mexican stand-off.

Oh, this is terrible. Three world famous bands with over 300 million album sales between them. And you’re going to have to choose. Terrible. Oh wait, you could just side with one of the other games in the category. That would work too. I guess this is a non-story. Anyway, the full list of games in the music category are as follows:
