Gold Wii controller to be released for Goldeneye 007

THERE’S A lot of gold to be accrued along with the re-release of Rare’s famous shooter on the Wii. With that in mind Activision are seeking to capitalise (never!) on the franchise’s popularity and have announced the release of a new gold controller.

The Classic Controller Pro will be available in the special edition bundle of the game released this autumn, which will feature an “additional control scheme option allowing them to play with added accessibility.” Nice of them to level the online playing field.

“We also couldn’t pass up the opportunity to pay homage to the golden gun with the gold Classic Controller Pro,” said David Pokress, Marketing Man at Activision.

And the opportunity to mine some gold of their own, I guess. Okay, okay, I will stop bitching now.

But come on!
