Wahey! It’s podcast time! We’re going to try and do these a little more regularly now. This is a Skypey-one again, with Lewis Denby and Andy Johnson gathering around the proverbial campfire, so the sound quality is a little quirky at best. Lewis occasionally develops a bizarre, double-tracked robot voice, while Andy… well, he just sounds all kinds of awesome, doesn’t he?
Today, they talked about Oni, Velvet Assassin, Zeno Clash, Pathologic, Fahrenheit, Hitman, Today I Die, Stalin vs. Martians and the demise of 3D Realms. Only not in that order. Instead, it’s structured something like this:
0:00 – Hello! We’re on Skype. Christ, that doesn’t bode well.
0:22 – We’re being organised for once!
0:50 – What’s Andy been playing? It’s Oni! How do you pronounce that?
5:00 – A quick note on Zeno Clash.
7:50 – What’s Lewis been playing? It’s Velvet Assassin! All nipples and arse-cheeks. Plus: isn’t it a bit tasteless?
10:05 – Comparisons to Hitman. Which, inevitably, we sidetrack on to.
15:20 – Let’s have a look on Twitter. Someone’s asking about Pathologic. Which Lewis has been writing about over at Eurogamer, pluggy-pluggy…
16:23 – Awkward comparisons with Fahrenheit. How do games integrate the player’s actions into the story?
20:23 – A little flash game called Today I Die.
24:25 – Oh, yeah. This is how you can find us on Twitter. Let’s read another message out. This one seems to be about Stalin vs. Martians, so let’s talk about that.
27:43 – Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could control a huge Stalin in Demigod?
28:04 – 3D Realms’ demise. What do we make of all that?
29:40 – The Chair Story. WHICH IS NOT TRUE.
30:55 – Wr-wr-wr-wrapping up! Goodbye!

Delighted to hear someone else who has a few kind words to say about Kane & Lynch.
