Outlaws to the End DLC bugging players, RDR multiplayer unplayable
RED DEAD Redemption’s online players have been suffering severely buggy games (again) after downloading the newly released Outlaws to the End co-op DLC.
Invisible horses, player characters disappearing and animal and enemy models not showing up in the game are making the multiplayer of the game unplayable for some.
Rockstar implemented an update on June 12 that fixed some similar early issues. But after downloading the Outlaws to the End co-op pack released yesterday players have seen the bugs return, some of them much worse than before.
One particular glitch is allowing players to level up by standing near a gang hideout. The game detects no enemies and awards the player for dispatching them. The player can then select ‘replay’ over and over again for unlimited unearned experience.
This afternoon Rockstar Games announced on their website that they had been working on the problem:
“We’ve isolated an issue with the free DLC mission pack that was causing broader problems with Red Dead Redemption’s multiplayer, and we’ve implemented a fix that is now live on both platforms. This update is now in place (you will not be prompted to download anything, but you may need to restart your game in order for it to take effect).
“The update also closes an XP exploit whereby players could trigger empty Gang Hideouts and have them register as complete.”
But as far as Resolution can tell, some problems are still prevalent in many of the Free Roam games. Gang hideouts were still empty of enemies when we last logged on and this glitch was still affecting other players.
We contacted Rockstar for further comment but have received no reply.

Date: June 24th, When you enter games, they either get endless loading screens invisi players or the worst the game just hovers in an area , none can talk the game myt as well have frozen. You need to go to dashboard to fix it! I’m mad I paid full price for the game! (I don’t do that often I’m 15) So I’m po’ed at R*
I’m so done with this f***in game. It is like you said unplayable in multi. N honestly I think people are tired of waiting for it to work. Even if they manage to fix everything, RDR will have lost so much hype that it’ll just be shoved aside. Rockstar really messed-up on a game with great potential. They should have sold their game to 2K! That’s where I’ll be going right back to play BioShock2 multi. Great game, no f-ups, still lots of fun even after 3 months n reliable. Srry R* but you’ve lost, yet again!
I was playing today on PSN and the bugs seemed to be fixed for me. But it was definitely frustrating when the enemies weren’t showing. I’m willing to give ‘em another chance just because it’s got such great environments and detail but I can totally understand when other people get fed up.
