Play poker for charity at Develop Conference 2010, be cool
I am shocked – shocked!
Play poker for charity at Develop Conference 2010, be cool
AND WHILE the yanks are announcing that there will be lots of loud music at the annual PAX Prime, Britain has decided it would rather gamble at one of its yearly conferences.
GamesAid, the UK industry charity for children and young people, will be holding their third annual poker tournament at the Develop Conference in Brighton.
The game is a no-limit Texas Hold ‘Em £50 buy-in with a £400 top prize, £200 for second and £100 for third place.
Last year over £5000 was raised for GamesAid and this year is expected to be an even better haul (even if that does mean you’ll have to face more players at entry).
The event will take place from 8pm on Tuesday July 13 at the Grosvenor Casino on the Brighton Seafront. Players are asked to register prior to the event at www.justgiving.com/gamesaidpokerdevelop2010 where they’ll find all the necessary guff. They will also have to bring photorealistical identification to the event so that they can be squinted at suspiciously before they are admitted.
