Portal 2 coming to Playstation 3

THE BEAUTIFUL mechanical tones of GlaDOS interrupted Sony’s keynote press conference at E3 to “deploy” Valve’s E3 surprise.

Gabe Newell sauntered onto the stage and announced that Portal 2 would be coming to Playstation 3 and to show off a new trailer.

The video shows GlaDOS reconstructing the Aperture Science facility and getting ready to put Chell through some more traumatic testing. The friendly Aperture AI seems to have matured a bit. At the end of the trailer she attempts reconciliation:

“I think we can put our differences behind us. For science. You monster.”

Newell seemed a bit on edge during the announcement but according to him there’s a reason for that.

“I have been quite outspoken about games on consoles in the past so I’d like to thank Sony for their gracious hospitality,” he said.

“If I seem nervous it’s because I was just introduced to Kevin Butler back stage as the VP of sharpening things.”
