Pro Zombie Soccer by best named developer in world

Mobile gaming usually lands outside our remit, but this seemed too awesome to pass up.

Pro Zombie Soccer, an upcoming iPhone and iPod Touch title by newly formed developers Super Awesome Hyper Dimensional Mega Team, is set to release later this year.  Along with the announcement comes a set of new screenshots and an utterly brilliant video.

Super Awesome Hyper Dimensional Mega Team contains members whose credits include Plants vs. Zombies, and its recognisable art style cuts through the mix here too.

In the game, players take on the role of a footballer caught in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, with a ball as his only weapon.

Super Awesome Hyper Dimensional Mega Team, whose name we will never get bored of typing, claim that Pro Zombie Soccer will contain “one of the most surreal and funny stories to ever grace a videogame,” and that it is “full of surprises and dismembered limbs.”

There’s a combo system, a number of different levels, a harder mode for players up for a challenge, and a charater skill upgrading system.
