Reso goes pro!
Podcast
Welcome to a super-mega-ultra-pilot-edition of a new Resolution podcast, including a startlingly handsome new member to the podcast team, a jingle, condenser microphones, pop filters, mixing desks and expensive recording software. Yes, the Resolution podcast has gone pro. We can’t quite believe it.
Of course, there’s still plenty of beer around, while Lewis Denby, J.D. Richardson and some bloke called Matt Baxter talk about things like you can see on that big list below.
For now, you can listen through the player on this page, download it directly, hit up the RSS feed or subscribe on iTunes.
00:00 New intro! OH MY.
00:25 A new person!
01:20 Let’s talk about games. Including a terrible one.
02:49 Massive tangent into the insufferable vagueness of the word “gameplay”. Basically not interesting.
06:09 The quiet return of Conan the Cat.
06:42 Where were we? Oh yes, the terrible game.
12:50 Let’s move on.
13:00 NO LET’S NOT.
14:15 Lewis in Not Being Pretentious Shocker! Is loving Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
16:35 Let’s talk briefly about Digital: A Love Story.
16:50 Lewis is WRONG. Christine Love is from Peterborough, Ontario. Not Toronto.
19:57 What’s New Person been playing? Broken Sword! On the bus! And Curse of Monkey Island.
22:35 And Borderlands DLC! Man. He’s been playing more games than us!
28:10 Questions. From all you buggers. To start with: iPhone version of the site.
29:05 Namedropping exercise. And discussion of Greg’s excellent beard. And then we all talk about our own beard-growing efforts. And don’t namedrop anyone for ages.
31:48 Matt tells us about his meeting Nick Oliveri, ex-Queens of the Stone Age.
33:40 J.D. goes all nostalgic.
34:36 Do we like Halo? Ha! Clever. But no, seriously, we do. That was kinda the point of Lewis’ article.
41:33 Favourite power-ups!
47:10 SPHINCTER.
47:20 Portal 2 talkies.
54:45 We’re lonely, ask us more questions.
55:12 And the music fades in. It’s a wrap, folks!

The podcast sounds great, guys; really professional. I enjoyed listening in, though I don’t get Lewis’s problem with the term “gameplay”. Its meaning is obvious, right? It’s how the “game” “plays”! *ba-dum-tish!* :D
Honourable mention of the beard. All hail my beard.
I think I’ll have to talk a bit less rubbish this time. But I AM pleased about the jingle. :-)
