Resolution Podcast – 08/02/10

It’s a new podcast! And this time, the ‘New and Improved’ tag makes a lot more sense. We’re actually coherent for most of it! The sound quality is fine! We talk mainly about games for once! It’s something of a miracle.

Hosts J.D. Richardson and Lewis Denby put this down to the presence of special guest Andy Statham, who joins the pair to talk about games, and ends up discussing curry and why he wants to kill children.

Also discussed are Global Agenda, the STALKER series and the different ways in which “emergent gameplay” can be approached. A few Twitter questions are also addressed, though we did accidentally miss out a few, then shout at you all for not asking more questions. Sorry. Also, Lewis manages to completely understate the control mechanics of Heavy Rain, so sorry about that too. And there are some minor Mass Effect 2 spoilers between 35:10 and 36:45. It’s nothing enormously plot-crucial, but if you’d rather not hear it, skip this bit.
