Your first comment is snipped. Disagree all you're like, but don't insult. That's the general rule around here. We like it when people debate but play nice.

Jen's an experienced games critic and is justified in communicating her opinion about a wide range of genres. Disagreement is healthy. It's great that you enjoyed the game. She didn't, and that's fair too.

On scores: we don't do half-marks. Straight out-of-ten. Have a read of our scoring guidelines, linked below the mark, if you'd like to read more about what a 3 means here.

I am having this funny feeling the author of this review knows nothing about computer games.

As Amber said, Avatar is not a bad game. Nothing in this game is groundbreaking, true, but it isn't bad. Avatar TG is well designed. Steering is handy and causes no problems. Aiming is ok (aim-assist is not needed, unless you are truly retarded or are playing an action game for the first time). Your characters' moves are ok (A cover system? What for? This is an action game, your character is running all the time and is able to perform pretty neat dodges). GFX are superb. Attention to details is incredible (all the behind-the-scenes stuff like other characters, included encyclopedia etc. is done very very well) and so on. Even flying a chopper was handy (and since flying always sucks in shooters, that was a nice touch). The only problem might be the story. It would be an awesome game if the story wasn't so simple. The game is clearly supposed to be a completion to the movie, not not be a stand alone product. I enjoyed the movie. I truly like this game.

I am a veteran gamer. My fav. titles are Unreal, HL2, The Witcher (the best game ever made). If you like these games, you will definitely like Avatar. Give it a try. It's a cool game.

I'd say that score 7.5/10 would be fair.

I completely disagree with this review. I've played through both sides of the game, RDA and Na'vi and I thought it was amazing. A great war game and exploring Pandora was worth while and very much like the movie with some differences. There's a lot more to it than whats being said and deserves better than a 3 out of 10.

That is a shame, I thought the film was great. The world of Pandora would have been one I would liked to have explored. Don't think I shall be doing so afterall.
