Square Enix announce Monster Hunter-ish PSP title

SQUARE ENIX has announced Lord of Arcana, an exclusive to PSP action game set in the underworld where players will battle creatures of legend.

“At the edge of a village surrounded by a huge forest lies the powerful stone Arcana, the source of all order in the world. It is said that only one with power can acquire Arcana.” So goes the official line. It sounds like Sword in the Stone without the Sword. Lies. We all know there’ll be plenty of swords.

It looks like there will be an emphasis on multiplayer with up to four players in a party battling monsters and personalised avatar creation. So that you can look stylish and ting.

There will also be ongoing DLC with new missions added over time, according to Square Enix. No release date yet though.
