Super Crate Box arcadey delight gets release date

JUST LOOK at this wee shooter. Just listen to all the chiptune goodness. Listen to it and tell me you aren’t interested. Nope. I don’t believe you. Lalalala, can’t hear you.

Super Crate Box boasts an old-school appeal. The indie developers Vlambeer are confident that their game will “bring back the glory of the golden arcade age, when all that really mattered was getting on that high score list.”

So confident, in fact, that they’ve already entered themselves for the 2011 Independent Gamer Festival.

Best of all, it will be available for free from October 22. Huzzah.
