Two new Harvest Moon titles on horizon

TWO NEW Harvest Moon games are arriving this winter, one for the PSP and the other for the DS, publishers Rising Star games have announced.

Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley for the PSP (pictured) will see the inhabitants of Leaf Valley unite “to save itself from destruction.” Destruction! Oh noes! Saving the town appears to involve the requisite amount of farming crops, feeding animals, mining gem stones and earning a part-time job.

Harvest Moon: Frantic Farming for the DS  is a foray into the puzzle genre by the franchise. Using one of 12 characters the player must match crops to stop them from over-taking the farm.

So far, so farmy. Maybe it’s time to forget Farmville and embrace the beauty of the win-condition.
